so i ordered off crapbay cheap seals , 35x48x11mm from what i understand they are incorrect but will they still work ,or for the money just buy the correct ones ?
Diamond in the ruff ;;;'late '74 Z1,, 1104, 360ish cams, storage since '88 ,7200 miles original green / yellow
restoring as early '74, with '73 green / yellow

Nice bike . Cool handle bars .
If I were you I would get the correct seals . Not fun when you do a job and spend time and money then have to do it over . I try and use oem parts whenever possible as Ive never had much luck with aftermarket stuff . Sometimes you have to as not everything is still available .

Fork seals are rather important. I'd be surprised if incorrectly sized seals could be forced to fit and work right afterwards.
I would get the correct size and made in Japan. Either OEM or K&L. Unfortunately, Z1Enterprises.com doesn't sell K&L fork seals any more.
Partzilla seems to indicate that they have the 92049-1216 fork seals in stock, but their info isn't always correct. If Partzilla has them, then the Kawasaki dealer should have them as well.
Is the motorcycle a 1974 or 1975 model? I'm not sure what you mean by late 74 Z1.

thx , I reorder the correct ones
made by vesrah [vintage johnys ,likes that brand].
Early /Late '74 Z1s had several slight differences , parts left over from '73 design into '75 improvements that were made '
