I know there was a thread about wheel fitments/swapability, as well as max tire widths. I've just gave up after the 8th page on "forum search" and getting side tracked by other interesting threads in there.
What Ive got- 80 kz440a swing arm.
What I want to do- 18" spoked w/Rear disc
Relacing, spacers and mounting are not a problem.

Also. What material brake pads are the really mellow riders using now a days? Same bike but with gpz1100 cals and rots fitted? Should I stay away from HH sintered?
Thanks in advance KZR!

Cheap labor isn't skilled, skilled labor isn't cheap.
1980 KZ440a. I went green.
If you yourself are building an older bike and can see it through till you're riding it, that's proof you have patience.

The only models I can think of that have an 18" spoked rear wheel w disk brake are the 750B Twins & 77/78 1000A.
The 70s 650B & KZ900A have a Rr drum brake. all of these models are 40-spoke w steel rims. pretty sure.

The other models that I'm familiar with or checked either have a 16" rear wheel or drum brake or both. some examples:
400B 18" spoked w drum. 650-CSR 16" spoked w drum. 1000-CSR 16" spoked w disk. the CSRs are 48-spoke w aluminum rims.
