Would anyone happen to know the modifications necessary to fit a 77-80 KZ 1000 B1-B4 tank to an 81 kz 1000 LTD K1 chasis?

Sorry buddy - thought I had posted this weeks ago already.....KZRider's site and my ISP are not working well together lately....it says it posts, but it doesn't really....

Yes, I tried, and the answer is NO, the tank won't fit. Two areas are problems - the 77-78 tank is too narrow underneath towards the rear to fit over the 81 and up J/LTD/CSR model frame tubes, and the fuel petcock will interfere with the left frame rail as it bends downward near the rear of the tank. Both problems could be solved, but it will take some metal fabrication or severe bashing of the tank bottom or otherwise to get the tank to fit....

If you still want to do this, might be best to find a custom sheet metal welder / fabricator to modify the tank bottom and re-locate the fuel petcock - tap....
