I have the parts and the mount, but I have no clue how the kick start lever get stowed behind the cover.
I'm looking for a picture, diagram, description of how it goes together.
TIA

Hi Larr, seen this post! I never seen one hooked on, the couple bikes I dis-mantled were 1/2 in boxes. I bought them for the MarkII engine cases and crankshafts, in partnership with an old drag racer like myself.
But the lever goes in between that bracket with a little longer 8mm bolt. You use that bolt to tighten the kick lever on the engine's shaft when needed. In your picture, I would try turning that 3 sided bracket 180 degree's. That lever gets pinched inside that bracket.
Here is a picture from partszilla's website. It's like a trick puzzle, you'll get it! (LOL)

Thanks Marty, I feel like I've been trying every permutation of positions! I think my luddite imagination has run out of tries. I need a picture at this point...

I sold one about a year ago. put the splined part in between the bracket. Line up the holes, straight thru, take the 8mm bolt, start into bracket hole, put bolt into the kicker and screw it in, and it should protrude out and catch right into the other side of bracket with the square spot welded nut.
The bolt goes straight thru and into bracket. Almost like a double nut. Maybe someone changed the bolt? Find a longer 8mm bolt with threads to catch the outer bracket nut on outside. I remember that's how I bolted it up in my ebay ad. I searched my old pictures but could not find it.
