After installing the new, if you goof & have to drive them back out, do you have to buy a new set again?

That is what the manufacturer documents yes. I heated mine on a hot plate for the install, put the heat gun on it while I got my bearing puller and it slid off easily. I reused mine and haven't noticed any issues. Smooth steering operation on the lift and loaded up with me on it.

Some special steering neck bearing kits (outer races) have a less AD (- 0,05 mm) and can glued in with Loctite to
get a straight line and tension less seat, plus an easy out with a heat gun.
