87 ex500a ninja wheels on a 82 kz750e

I can get a good deal on a set of rims from a 87 ex500a Was wondering if anyone knew if they will work on my 82 kz750e there 16s witch is fine with me but will they work thanks for the help

Sorry I don't know if they can swap, but search some photos of bikes with the wheel swaps. The small wheels on the old bikes sometimes look funny. Make sure you are ok with that. This one is not too bad, but you get the idea... all that space between the wheel and the handlebars makes it look a little scooter-ish.

Most people use 17" wheels for better tire selection. That bike looks nice from that angle. I think that zephyr came with 17" wheels originally. Maybe it's a 2006.

I would like to suggest that you swap the entire front end fron a Zephyr. Fork, wheel, brakes the lot.
the Zephyr front fork fits if you change the stearing neck ball bearings to the Zephyrs roller bearings.
Beacuse fitting just the wheel will require quite a bit of fabrication to get the Z750E brake calipers to fit the Zephyr brake rotors and making spacers to fit the wheel in the old fork.

How bout the rear ?

The Zephyr rear is also a pretty easy swap if you go for the hole kit, swingarm, wheel, brakes the lot.
But it requires a bit of fabrication. The Z750E frame is basically the same as my Z750R1 and you can read my tread www.kzrider.com/forum/11-projects/598316...an-other-green-kwack
Where I fit a Zephyr swing arm, but I made it much harder for myself picking parts from different bikes. Much simpler if you take the the hole thing from the Zephyr. Pls read my thread and feel free to ask if you want clarifications.
