Rear Wheel Bearings was created by gordone
Good day,

I have gone over parts to shop when it comes to the rear wheel.

www.partzilla.com/catalog/kawasaki/motor...heel-hub-chain-80-h1

Item 14 they don`t have in stock, is these because it`s no point to replace these bearing, just greasing it up?

Plan to replace:
14?. 19, 22, 11, and 7 (2).

I don't know if that big bearing would need to be replaced. I don't remember how easily mine came out. The one I removed several years ago spins freely & appears to be in vg condition. no visible damage & no marks from knocking it out. The smaller bearings were damaged & have dents where the drift impacted them.

I went ahead & replaced the big bearing, since it was included in the All Balls Racing wheel bearing kits from Z1Enterprises.com. The Rear kit has all 3 bearings & 2 oil seals. The big bearing in the kit was labeled 6206-2RD-QE6. A 6206 bearing is 62 mm x 30 mm x 16 mm W. You can probably find a 6206 bearing somewhere.

Thank you for the information Martin, will these kit fit my wheel also?
As you know I have a 750cc engine in my 650cc frame, but it looks like my wheel front and rear is from a 750 also..
I have searched in different diagram and the one I linked to above looks to be correct.

It was much cheaper to by these kit!

The big bearing on my bike is a of the open type, no shield, but on the picture on the link to the kit, its looks to be a rubber shield type, but that is properly not a problem ?

That large bearing is tough. Most typically it doesn't need to be replaced.

The All Ball's kits are decent. The bearings are not as good as the OEM parts but good enough. The All Balls kit uses sealed bearings which is fine whereas OEM uses a combination of shielded, open, and sealed. Either way it's fine. If you grease the bearing some Bel Ray general purpose grease has a great reputation. Common marine grease is good as well. Be sure to remove all the old grease before applying more.

The frame is an 81 650-D4, correct? I don't know what wheels the D4 SR has, but I would guess they are the same as the 750-H2. seems logical. many 750-4s use the same bearings and also the 650-CSR & 550-Ltd & probably others.

In regards to quality I don't know anything about the All-Balls-Racing bearings. I installed them quite a few years ago & haven't had any problems since then. For individual bearings Koyo & Nachi are the only Japanese brands I've seen on eebbaayy. I've never looked into bearings much, so I really don't know what else is available.

Thank you all for our inputs and advise!
Less quality mines, less miles before they need to be replaced?

You are correct about the frame Martin, but when I look at the diagrams it looks like the orginal 650 SR had drum brack rear and single disc brake in front, but I have disc brake rear and dual disc brake in front... so I think somebody have upgraded to 750 H1 wheel....

But for me it looks like these kit will suite my wheels.

I was thinking about the front also :)

These shall work for front wheel ?

The D4 SR wasn't sold in the USA, so it won't be listed in most diagrams. If you're seeing a drum brake, you may be looking at
the 650-CSR which is a completely different model. The 78-79 SRs sold in the USA had dual disk Fr brake & single disk Rr brake,
but the wheels are tube-type. If your front wheel has Tubeless cast into it, then it's probably the same as many 750-4s. guessing.
