Howdy. From the diagrams at Partzilla for the 1982 KZ750-H3. stock is a 13T Fr & 32T Rr with 630x84 drive chain. If the bike seems high-revving or you want to improve the fuel economy & lower the highway revs, you could install a 30T Rr sprocket. A common upgrade is to switch to a 530 chain & sprockets. A 16T Fr & 40T Rr 530 is a close match to stock. A 16T/38T 530 is similar to 13T/30T 630. There may be a couple of other sprocket setups that could be used. If you change sprocket sizes, you'd need to figure out what length chain to get.
32/13 = 2.462
30/13 = 2.308
40/16 = 2.5
38/16= 2.375

Converting to 530 chain and sprockets is highly recommended. There are tons of older threads here which describes the process or call Z1 Enterprises if you need help with component selection.
Here is but one sample thread from the archives with some good info... www.kzrider.com/forum/5-chassis/594239-6...kz750#s5_scrolltotop

I replaced a 630 chain and sprockets on my 750 with a 530 chain 16 tooth front sprocket and 41 T rear about a year or so back. 39 or 40T rear sprocket would be ok also. It was a good move for me.
Just make sure you get a quality chain like DID or RK or EK. Dont waste money on Chinese junk on Ebay.
