Pivot tube length of kz750e swing arm

Look for the length of the pivot tube on a kz750e/h. Thanks

Could not found the correct length but with some math you can get a real near by length.
Swing arm tube width #4 - (4 x needle bearing width #3) = pivot tube length #6

hmm that may help, I guess more then anything im looking for the measurement from inside the frame im designing a sleeve for a swing arm conversion and don't have my bike torn apart yet.. thanks

The values in brackets refer to the pivot or axle OD in metric mm

On my Z750R1 the pivot tube is 230mm and I belive its the same on the E.
I stated 232 earlier, but thats on the Zepyr 750.

Thanks. Ya the measurement I was looking for was the inside of the frame, from boss to boss. Which your right, is 230mm. I cut down a welding rod until it fit perfectly than measures it. I wasn't sure how much the kz rubber end caps took up. Thanks, I'll be give that measurement to my machinist tomorrow to finish my new sleeve

did you source a 16 ID X 22 OD sleeve from some other model that can be cut to length?

a 750E im buillding into a road racer needs a new sleeve....bearing area totally rusted/gone

can measure the original length if you need

In case you need them, Kz750 has 4 HK2216 needle bearings (22-28-16).

this 750E is in pieces so here are the dimesnions i got
sleeve 226mm
gap when in the frame is 5.7mm internal distance is 261.7mm

diablo, wish the problem was the bearings! those are easy to find, it's the sleeve that goes bad and it doesnt exist anymore as a spare

I had the same problem. Ended up stick welding the bearing area and turning in the lathe.

Alright guys, I just purchased 100 needle bearing internal races and 4140 DOM tubing. In the industry we frequently used the races to repair shafts that ran needle bearings and with the strength of the 4140, I can make a sleeve that's both durable and cost effective. I'll be doing some proving this out for a while but I'm highly confident this will provide a replacement for these shafts. When I make the first ones, I'll post up pics and progress.
