84 gpz550 seat

Turns out the previous owner (or one of them) yanked all the stock foam off the seat at some point. I guess it is fairly expensive to have a guy build the foam from scratch that will fit the original plastic seat pan.


A long shot but, does anybody know if the stock seats fit from other years or models? I have an '84 GPZ550 and am wondering if there are other models I could use for a donor seat?
I know the 84-86 have the same part number, but I am just wondering if other year\models may fit the existing mechanism.

i.e. would a '83 gpz550 seat fit on the frame of an '84 gpz550?

I try to use the GPZ 1100 seat but is to short.
I have a spare pan and foam but will have to check,
Not sure about their condition.

well, I got a little inpatient and ordered one off of Ebay for $70.
