Seat lock problem

Seat lock problem

The spring to pop the lock latch up when you unlock the seat has the spring on the top side so it doesnt spring it back up i have to move it with my finger. How do i fix this

The spring goes under the bottom catch lever

Ya but how do i move the spring piece under the latch?

Screwdrivers or small pry bars is where I'd start
Put it in a vise so you don't have to try and hold it.
The lock may need to be unlocked ??? or maybe not

Its unlocked in the picture. I tried beating the pin out of it to move the spring but that wasnt working. I had a punch on it and used a mallet
