I just dunked the part in denatured alcohol to remove the junk inside of it. I managed to clean away some of the old fluid and it appeared to be in good shape. If the denatured alcohol cleans it up, I'll post the condition. I'm hoping it'll be fine.

Thank you for the tip. I found the brushresearch product a couple of days ago but was wanting to do more research regarding its effectiveness. Since you had good results, I'll go ahead put an order in. Thank you for sharing.

To "dress" the bore, I have used the shade-tree method of very fine wet/dry sandpaper on the end of a popsicle stick or with a q-tip.
