Unknown mounting points

The previous owner probably removed some fuel carb. components. Al the vacuum parts onced used for the carb. is no longer present.(The evoporative emission control system).
I thought these 2 mounting points were used for some kind of bracket for the battery cage. The plastic piece underneath the buddy seat(in the front) usually slides underneath this bracket to keep the seat in place.
But i can't find any bracket in the service manual or on pictures. So is this assumption true ? Is it used for a bracket ?

So it's a ZX550, not a KZ550. For future reference you should mention that each time & put the model in your signature. Thanks.
My guess is the battery bracket is missing. the one 650ed noted. I checked eebbaayy & cycletrader to see if someone was selling an 84 or 85 ZX550. no luck. some sellers include a photo of the stuff under the seat.

In the battery bracket diagram, please note that there are a couple of dampers (92075A in the drawing).
I searched the bracket part number 11043-1035 & also did a couple of other searches on eb, but didn't find one.
cmsnl.com has a photo of the bracket in their diagrams.

But i found some stuff with a dutch motorcycle salvage company. They have the battery bracket (and some other brackets I don't really need). And they also have the left sidepanel with GPZ550 emblem in the right colour. just what I was looking for.
I'll pick it up this saturday before it's gone, because this guy only has one left. They ask € 40 ( $45) for it. I'm happy

Glad you found it. I was going to suggest searching for gpz550 parts lot. I saw a bracket in a google image, but the pic was from a long expired eebbaayy listing for a pile of ZX550 parts.
