Baldy, What fairing is this on your KZ ? My 77' KZ1000 has a 7" headlight and the mounting width were the turn signal stems mount to the side of the headlight ears and headlight bucket measures 8".

Went ahead and order a windscreen thru Puig "Wave".

Kidkawie, Tested the PUiG windscreen a couple of days ago. Surprisingly a good deal of wind protection from a small fairing. Did seem to rotate back a little at the mount to where underside of the fairing made contact with the the speedometer body. So opened up the headlight bucket again and retightened turn signal stem nuts more. Will see it that will help. There is a small hole on the windscreen mounting bracket behind where it slips over the signal stem. I'm wondering if I drilled a small thru this hole into the headlight ear and screwed in a small sheet metal screw, if that would stabilize the fairing better ? Have you ran into this problem?

Haven't had that problem but you're idea to fix it sounds good. Do you have a pic of your new fairing installed?
