I have an 82 750 CSR with the stock 16" chrome spoked rims and drum breaks. I would love to give it a slightly different stance and I'm thinking about going with an 18" rear wheel.

I've been looking around on here and other forums for options but i'm still slightly unclear of my options.

I read that parts from the kz650 and 750 are relatively interchangeable and that if I found an 18" wheel from a 650 its a simple bolt on exchange. Is this true? has anyone done this?

Did Kawasaki make an 18" chrome spoked rim with a drum that would fit my frame? I've found a few 440's but I am under the impression those will not fit.

I've also read reports of people marrying an 18" Harley rim to their KZ drum hubs - is this a better approach?

All the best

The KZ650-B models had wire wheels with drum rear brakes. I don't know what would need to be done to swap one onto your rear axle. Ed

Here is some KZ650-B history w/pics:

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationWell its looks to be a 40 spoke rim. Why not just find a 40 spoke 18" rim, send it off to Buchanans spokes and have them lace it to your hub. Wont have to worry about issues about fitment that way. Will be spendy though

Heres one for $22
