After finally giving in to a leaky seal and the need for a fluid change, I had the forks on the GPZ rebuilt. I say rebuilt because it started as a seal and fluid replacement and ended up being a full rebuild with the inner and outer bushings having to be ordered from England. I took the advice that so many on here have given and replaced the old springs with a set of Progressives. Now this isn't the first time I've had to do fork maintenance, but it is certainly the biggest difference I have ever experienced. With the reworked rears from CL Mototech and now the new springs in the forks, the bike is like brand new. I can't believe I waited this long to do it.

The old springs were worn, the old fluid looked like, well, shitty old fluid and the bushings were so worn I don't think it would have gone back together if I had just left the old ones in.

Wow.
