Are there any aftermarket brake callipers or calipers from a newer bike that bolt on to the stock caliper mounts on the 76 kz900

Only kits I've ever seen were from Japan and they're $500+ for a dual caliper setup.
Biggest issue with a spoked wheel is the fork leg
Torotor and rotor to spoke spacing. The newer opposed piston calipers usually interfer with the spokes. The cast 7-spoke rims may not have such an issue.
I have considered trying to make brackets and a kit to update the front brakes but I sold all my stock parts so i have no donor parts to take measurements from.

The KZ1000 cast wheels also have this issue. I test fit a set of 6-pot ZRX calipers onto the stock rotor and cast wheel and they hit the spokes. I also tried a set of early 90s 4-pot calipers and they hit as well.
It's likely that you can find a modern caliper to fit, but I can't tell you which one.
Here is an example of a bracket to adapt a Brembo caliper to the KZ1000. ssito.cart.fc2.com/ca94/324/p-r-s/ But note that the pictures show a non-stock wheel.
Here is another example of a full kit that claims to fit the Z1, 900, and 1000.
