After several year of travelling the same 1/4 mile of washboarded road to the main Street to town, Im sick of the headlight bouncing around.

The headlight mounts are loose where they slip onto the forks between the upper and lower triple tree. It lets the headlight swivel slightly from side to side. How do you tighten this up to eliminate the movement. Is it just loosening the top and bottom triple trees and compressing them onto the mounts or am I missing the obvious.
1982 GPz750 or KZ750R1
Thanks in advance.

I don't have a KZ750R1, but all the KZ's I have seen had rubber grommets at the top and bottom of the headlight mounts on the fork tubes. Maybe yours are gone?

Yes they have the rubber grommets. I spent some time loosening the front assembly and found that the headlight raising the lower triple tree made all the difference. I just didn't want to screw up the fork pressure equalizer doing so.

Thanks,
