I'm looking for some engine guards/crash bars for my 1981 KZ750 LTD (H2). They don't seem to be very common, and I'm wondering what other models will fit. I've found some in the US that fit a KZ750 L model, and some that fit an M model - does anyone know what guards would be compatible? Even some pictures of how they mount on the bike would be useful.
If not, has anyone made their own engine guards before? Since all the guards I can find are in the UD the postage to Australia is a killer, so it might be easier to make my own or modify some other type.

For sure any KZ650 or 750E/H set will fit. maybe the 750 shaft drive.
Engine guards The U-shaped mount fits around the LH frame down-tube.
My bike has the same frame as the 750H. see link in signature.
The 750M = 750-CSR Twin & they won't fit a 750-4. I inadvertently bought a set of those for my 650. doh.
I'm pretty sure the 750 GPz engine guards won't work as the engine mounts are different & I think the 750-L3 engine mounting is the same as the GPz, so the L3 guards may not work either. not sure about the L1 or L2 as those weren't sold in the USA. ... GPz guards
Someone in the UK was making them for the 650/750-4, but not any more. He was on the KZ650.Info forum for a while, but I don't recall his name. maybe he could be coaxed into making a batch. I'd be interested in a set.

I've got this set I bought for my kz650.
They have some pedals attached for placing your feet on.
Bought them from a member, but found some others on ebay, so haven't used them.
I'm in Canada, so don't know if shipping will be even more.
I can check mailing cost, if your interested.
