For the 1000J owners
What holds the tail fairing in place from moving
up and down, besides the two bolts to the frame.

That rubber block as shown by Barney keeps it in place as well as enuring it does not crack from vibration as might happen with a solid mounting point.

bought the bear frame ,wheels and motor.

FYI, the part that supports the rubber block (and the rear turn signals) is 23062-1032 on the diagram above.,.and is very rare. If you do find one, buy it immediately and be prepared to pay a princely sum. When you search, be aware that the same part is used on the KZ1000J1-J3, KZ1100B1-B2, KZ1000R1-R2, and the KZ1100R1...so broaden your searches. :) Also be aware that when the part is available, unscrupulous sellers (on eBay) may sell one with holes for the turn signals completely rusted off.
