I need to replace my fork seals has anyone done this job them selves? Is there a spring "cartridge" or will everything come apart when I take them apart. Is there a video on the interwebs of this job?

There's a damper rod (inner fork cylinder) below the long fork spring. The bottom allen bolt holds the damper rod in place. Even if you have an air impact wrench, you may have to use a tool to keep the damper rod from spinning. The head of your damper rod might look just like a 12-pt socket.

. On my 81 650-csr it's 19mm, but yours might be bigger. I use a LH 1/2" bolt w a couple of nuts & socket extensions. some guys weld a bolt & nut to a long rod. or something like that.
