KZ700 swingers bearing upgrade was created by Jekyll86
hello Gents!
I've searched the site to see if I can find what bearings I will need to replace the sleeve-type swingarm pivot on my KZ 700. Unfortunately, most information I find is in the form of links to other sites which are either dead or for different sized bikes, such as the 900 or 1000. The only bearing kits I have found are for the larger bikes.
So... 2 questions.
1) Are any other KZ swingarms the same dimensions as the KZ700?
2) Will the 900 bearing kit fit on the 700/750s?

The KZ700-A1 parts fishe shows that the swingarm pivot bearings are needle bearings. What exact model year bike do you have?

Exactly (See www.powersportswarehouse.com/p/Kawasaki#...00-A1-1984/080199E-6 ) . Have you looked inside the swingarm yet to see what's in there? Ed

Yea, they went to tapered needle bearings in 1978. No way the KZ700 has sleeve bearings.

To answer your question...KZ900 bearings will not work. Bearings from many of the 1982/1983 KZ750(4) models will work...part number (or equivalent) 92046-1115.
