Boge Mulholland Shocks

Not sure what to do with these.
13" with standard springs. I woukd assume 120 lb or close as I was only around 135lbs back then! LOL
I think I had these on one of my old Triumph cafe bikes...35 or maybe more years ago.
Are they rebuildable or worth anything to anyone?

Well, what did SlmJim say? I also had a pair that I didn't know what to do with (one was leaking) and I ended up tossing them.

Well they definitely look rebuildable I'm not sure they are worth the effort though. No offence.Unless you have an attachment to them(which it sounds you do). Works Performance in California will rebuild any shock if possible. They actually offer this service to all brands as long as they have similar rebuild parts or can machine something to work. I think Race Tech also offers rebuild service too

At 13.0 inches, I think they are too short for my KZ1000 and two up riding.
Besides my current shocks seem good now with only about 20,000 miles on them
I just didn't know for sure if anyone rebuilds these and or are they worth recycling on a bike refurb.

If the shocks leak, toss them, but either way, keep the springs. Many new shocks require springs purchased separately. I find the old springs, even stock ones, can be made to fit new shock bodies.

Those shocks are likely from an LTD model '76-'80 anyway.

Although I am not sure LTD shocks were all Mulholland, don't think the shocks on LTDs were rebuildable.
These not so clearly, have a large nut on the shaft, under a the springs of the valve body.

I have them on my Z1R. 13.75 in. with the preload all the way up. Does that change if you release the preload?
Loudhvx, thanks. I never thought of re-using the springs. I just want to disassemble mine to repaint the springs. Maybe someone can chime in if they have done it.
Thanks!
