Front rim from Z1 Enterprise

The bike Im doing now is going to run 9"s. I learned alot from the other bike. It has a regular KZ head with some work on a big 1385 motor. Dont think it was breathing very well for the motor size. My new motor is a 1327 with coated MTC 10.5 to 1 pistons, A bathtub GPZ1100/ZN1100 head that LarryC did for me. 38.6 intakes, 33 exhaust valves. Web Cams .436/.465, Star titanium retainers, Kibblewhite springs and it flows over 100cfm. Falicon 16 tooth KZ crank with a set of brand new 38mm Mikuni's. With the 300 tire, traction shouldn't be too much of an issue. Im also considering NX nitrous just for a small kick in the butt occasionally.

That's a great point. Crash a newer bike and it might be toast, rims and frame. Older bikes were overbuilt and way heavier. But when they get in minor crashes sometimes the damage is minor. A few years ago a car turned in front of me riding my KH400. Besides a small bone in my foot, the only things bent/broken were the headlight ears and the brake lever.

Yes - new alloy framed race replica style sport bikes break frames, wheels, and forks with even minor collisions. Seeing a Ninja600R break in two at a 40 mph impact is a sobering eye opener....

I'm planning on using wheels from one of those new GSXR's on my KZ1170 Beater II, but I can tell you I'm more than just a little worried about how the front will survive a hard landing from a wheelie or a pot hole.....

Two on the way - mine and jberger635's are similar 1394 MTC, mine is a Cavanaugh Racing dual plug J head with same cams and valves as yours, jbergers's is a mild GPz bathtub with stock valves and APE 410's, but injected / managed....
