Hey guys, looking to remove the brake set-up on my 1992 KZ1000P and replace it with pegs and a different lever. it currently has the OEM Foot boards. Anyone know of some good replacements and where to find them?

I don't know much about this sort of thing, but what exactly are you trying to do? move the brake pedal forward or rearward or just changing it? dimecitycycles & probably other places have forward control kits & rearset kits.
A quick google search didn't turn up any kits specific for the 1000P police bike, but I didn't look very hard.
There are a few topics, though. You may have to do some cutting & welding. search = kz1000 police rear sets

I remember reading a thread or two about this conversion. There is no simple bolt-on solution. that I am aware of. There is no provision on the frame for mounting foot pegs. I think the easiest solution is to use the foot peg brackets, brake lever and shifter from a J (standard) model. You will need to fabricate mounting points for both sides. You can go full on custom with a little more work.
Of course, the old foot board brackets will need to be ground off to make way for the new gear.
