Gear commander accuracy ? was created by 76KZ900
I mean by accurately displaying speed at certain rpm. I have a kz1100 and its way off. Just wondering if other KZ1100 owners have checked it. Thanks
50mph/3600rpm
60mph/4500 rpm
70mph/5400 rpm

What mine is currently.

It's been a month, but I just saw this. My gpz750 shows about the same as yours. Within a couple of mph. And I'm using a 150mph speedo, not the stock 85mph.

Keep in mind that factory speedometers are typically 8-10% optimistic.

Yeah that's been my experience. I do wonder what the range is for our speedometers, though. As in, what the general range is speed vs. rpm.

On my ZRX1200 that was indeed the case. But with my KZ1100 it is dead on with gps.

After digging in multiple forums I'm thinking my KZ1100 has trans gears out of something like a KZ1000 shaft. I've checked my rear gears by counting ring gear teeth so I know it's factory.
I did get a 1000 shaft rear end for mine. Haven't installed it yet but should reduce rpm by 500 ish according to my calculations.
