Anyone with a loose KZ650 gas tank, need help

I am trying to see about modifying a KZ650 gas tank for a KZ750H. I know it will need the mount in the rear modified, but I am trying to figure if the cups in the front will work.

If anyone has a loose late 70's KZ650 gas tank and could get me a super quick measurement I would greatly appreciate it. I am just looking for the width between the cups in the front.
The light that burns twice as bright, burns half as long. And you have burned so very, very brightly Roy.
