Is there a trick to releasing the seat lock on a 77kz without a key, I have lost my keys and would like to get the seat open.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI'm not aware of a trick. However, if you look on the seat lock next to the keyhole you should see a 3 digit number. That is the key number for the lock, and you should be able to get a key made or buy one from eBay. Here's just one example (see link below). Ed

The 1977 KZ650 used the same key for the ignition, seat lock, and steering lock. The fuel cap can be opened with any key. Ed

Did you have one key that fit all? If not you might as well buy the whole set.
