Question..... will a 16" rear wheel from a kz 750 LTD fit on a kz 750e to replace the 18"

That depends in part on which LTD wheel you are asking about, They came with spokes, mags, drum brake, disc brake, two cylinder, four cylinder.

Yeah its for a four cylinder with disc brake and the alloy style mag

That should be a pretty straight forward swap. I just took a quick look at Kawasaki.com and I see that in 1980 those two models shared the same axle, torque link and at least one spacer. You can go there or to Partzilla.com and check all the rear wheel related part numbers for the specific year of your bike and 16 inch wheel to be sure which parts are the same.
