I984 KZ440 D6 Front Brake Weak was created by BornAgainBiker
Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone out has had any experience with a weak front brake on a KZ440 ltd? The front brake on my bike just doesn't seem to have much bite. I just recently changed the front brake pads and flushed out the old brake fluid and replaced it, but it didn't seem to make much difference. Any suggestions?

All the best, Jeff

Sounds familiar to me. Same thing on my bike when I did my front brake. A great little trick to firm the brake up is to zip tie the brake all the way in and let it sit overnight. Take a rag or something and place it around your grip( to prevent damage) then just zip tie till it's really cranked down and let it sit for 10-12 hours. If that doesn't work you might still have air in your line or you might have a physical problem with your brake system. Made a world of difference on my bike. Went from ok to throw your ass over the handlebars. I ended up going back a week later and doing it again but 3000 miles later it still feels great.
Side note: that blue on your bike is nice! I think I like it more every time I see it! So jealous

- good luck
