I am not happy with results but I don't feel like relocating rear turn signal to install saddle bag straight. I always install only one bag on my bikes. It is perfect counterweight for exhaust. :)
Post your saddle bag pictures please.

There is no way to avoid moving rear turn signals.

I had some soft bags i dented in for the signals. They faded in a year so I put on my 1975 AAmco hard bags.

Maybe not cool, but can be handy.

I've got a set I've used in the past;

For pure visual appeal never liked bags, that being said though they are super handy and make any trip longer than an hour or two so much easier and nicer! Like a lot of these setups, and look as good as they can for having bags on at all, just not a bag guy myself. I wear a Ogio backpack whenever I ride to store stuff in instead of having a bag or something bungeed to my bike. I prefer how it looks that way and the backpack works bang-on for my needs.

I'm in the same boat, I won't install bags, I would just like enough room to put a bottle of water and phone....

The best use of hard bags I ever saw was in the late '70s, I was a gas jockey and the harley guys would stop for gas, open their hard bags and grab a quick beer. Their hard bags were used a s a cooler! I've been a fan ever since! And still looking!
