Will a 79 KZ1000ST Center Stand fit a 78 KZ1000A2

I've been looking for a center stand for my 78 KZ1000A2 and am frustrated at the prices being asked, it seems you could buy a new repro one with all the bolts and spring etc. for less than the average rusty one if you don't have all the other parts. I've noticed the stands from other models are more reasonably priced, do any of them fit? I can't find a part number for the 1000ST stand to see if that is the same, it looks similar from the pictures I've seen, but as I'm trying to get one cheaply, I definitely don't want to buy the wrong one, even if it would be 1/2 the price.

If you and Pete dont get it worked out ..post a pic of the mounts and some measurements and ill check the dimensions on mine.

They are not the same. The ST stand is only used on the ST. Everything on the ST is larger, wider ect. I would bet it will not be close to fitting an A2.

I didn't expect you to write all over your best bath towel with a Sharpie pen

I can measure the mounts on the bike, but the rest of the measurements will have to be compared to a known KZ1000A stand to be sure, or is that what that is?

Don't worry about it, it is sold!!!!!!!!!!!! :evil:
I guess, whoever bought it had ST model.
