KZ750e Front fork axle clamp stud was created by Zdavis47
I've searched up and down the forums but can't seem to find a topic on my specific model. I was installing the front wheel after having a tire mounted and had a moment of stupidity by installing the axle clamp on backwards and snapped the end of the stud.

Every parts list I have seen for a 1980 kz750e doesn't show the studs at the end of the fork tubes having a part number? Are they in fact replaceable? Or should I just purchase a new set of forks from eBay?

Thank you,
Zach

Is this the needed part?

doesn't show the studs at the end of the fork tubes having a part number -- I see what you mean.

Is any portion of the broken stud protruding from the fork? Enough to get a good grip on it?

Have you attempted to remove the other stud in order to determine whether or not it simply screws into the fork?
Heat via propane torch may help loosen grip of the inner threads (if such threads exist).

Seems unusual to me that the stud would be permanently built into the fork. Especially since the stud is steel and the fork is aluminum (presumably).

Good Fortune! :)

There is still some of the stud remaining when I take the clamp off. I have yet to try and remove any of the other studs in fear of them not beating removable and I somehow break it in the process.

Would apply heat and try to remove the broken stud.

Failing that, would apply heat and try to remove the remaining good stud in the same fork, being gentle enough not to break it off.

Good Fortune! :)
