550 chain guard

Does anyone know if the 550 A/B/C chain guards are interchangeable? I looked at part numbers and they are different, but the I am pretty sure the swing arms are identical, I was looking to put a metal one on. R

I'm interested in this topic as well because my bike, a 750E2, uses the same chainguard as the early 550's. As far as I can determine the way the guard mounts on the swingarm is different from many other bikes so not sure about interchangeability.

Not sure, but I don't think they're interchangeable. I could be wrong, but to my eye the mounting bolt holes for the 550C Ltd chain guard seem to be more far forward than the 550A. You should be able to make a better guess than I can, though, since you can put a tape measure on the 550A stuff. Also, please note that the swing arm part numbers are different, so I don't assume they're the same. :)
