Kawasaki's KZ750cc 4 cycle twins include the following models:

1976 Kawasaki KZ750-B1
1977 Kawasaki KZ750-B2
1978 Kawasaki KZ750-B3
1979 Kawasaki KZ750-B4
1980 Kawasaki KZ750-G1
1982 Kawasaki KZ750-M1
1983 Kawasaki KZ750-K1
1984 Kawasaki KZ750-K2

Given inclusion of the letter G, my guess would be a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750-G1.

The following information was contributed courtesy of KZr member steell:
76-79 KZ750 were the "B" model, single disc front and rear with wire spoke wheels.
1980 KZ750G, pretty much the same as the "B", but with rear drum brake and mag wheels.
1981 model 750 twin don't exist.
1982 KZ750M1 CSR, same motor as the "B" and "G", with air injection into the exhaust, with wire wheels and rear drum brake.
1983 KZ750K1, same as M1 except for belt drive.
1984 KZ750K2, Canada only, same as K1.

Good Fortune! :)

HA Ha now im confused.. the date on the head stock tag says 1979 . I had thought it was a '79
but all the info im finding says its a 1980 because of the "G"
Its just the frame with triple tree and forks with the tail piece, swing arm and chain guard(chrome) so i dont have much to go on.
I picked it up from a guy who was scrapping a bunch of old bikes and i hated to see it go to waste..
but really i dont know what ill do with it .

It's a 1980 model that was manufactured in August 1979.

For example, think about currently brand new 2016 model automobiles that were manufactured in 2015.
It's the same with motorcycles, where sometime during the manufacturing year, the factory starts producing next year's model.

Good Fortune! :)

The date of mfg does not always correspond with the model year. For old Kawasakis, I think June is either the last month of production for a particular model year or the 1st. not sure. ???

By pete greek: Good info, Patton & Steel, Zedder doesn't even list an LTD G-1 model 750...

What's available on the zedder site is just a partial sampling. You have to purchase the cd to get the complete information.
On the zedder page it says: Pictures and Specifications of several Kawasaki Motorcycles.
