Mirror recommendation?
01 Nov 2015 16:40
Don't want bar end mirrors. Just something halfway sporty looking with good quality. No Emgo, and hopefully no Bikemaster either. Those mirrors just look so cheap (they are actually). Rectangular is prefered over round. Budget is $50.

Yes, some of their stuff is spendy, but it's always very well done. They are local, I've done work for them.

Bring one of your old mirrors into a metric bike shop and match up the threads and angles.
My son found a nice set of rectangular mirrors at a Yamaha/Suzuki shop for a lot less then 50 bucks.

I wound up buying a couple of NOS Napolean mirrors. They should be here in a few days. Medium cheap, but price wasn't the motivator. There is what seems like an almost limitless supply of cheap mirrors in the market. Cheap is good but I want something of decent quality, and that's more difficult to judge. I'd love to have some of those LSL's from Spiegler but $250 for mirrors seems a bit over the top.

I like those and I have them on 2 of my bikes. They are getting hard to find. I also like the Napoleon AG-101, it is stainless and a lot more adjustable than most. I make my own mount base and stem so that I can actually see around my shoulders. I'm 6'4" and even superbike bars are too narrow for most mirrors to work. The new Honda RC231V-S mirrors also look cool. I like the combining of the bark busters and mirror mounts because I broke both hands the last time I fell.

My brother found some cool mirrors while shopping online. As far as I remember, the brand was BIHR and the cost was around €45. He ordered them online
from this store
and the shipping cost was negligible too.
