rear brake master cyl

I am looking for a new or rebuilt rear master cyl for a 79 kz1000b, anyone have any ideas?

cant have too many toys 80 kz1000LTD, 82 kz1000r-2, 89 1200HD, 94 883HD, 84 250 suzuki dirt bike, plus cars and other boy toys

Whats wrong with the one you have ? why don't you just rebuild it

1980 LTD 1000..,1976 LTD 900, have the 1000&900 now. the rest are previous= 1978 KZ 650 B.., 1980 Yamaha XT 500..,1978 Yamaha DT 400.., 1977 Yamaha yz 80..,Honda trail ct 70.., Honda QA 50...5-1/2 hp brigs & straton CAT chopper mini bike...3-1/2 hp mini bike (WHEN GAS WAS ABOUT 45 CENTS A GALLON)!!!!

Not sure about the z1000, but the some of the early 550 parts are NLA, so newer alternatives can be fitted.

Rear discs are rather too powerful on (some of) these, the golden rule of keeping the master cylinder diameter the same when changing master cylinders maybe doesn't apply to the rears imo.

Don't have a great answer for the wanting of a new/old one, just haven't had real good luck with rebuilds in the past. but it looks like i'm going to rebuild this one. Any suggesstions on who as the correct parts, so many don't know for sure if theirs will work. thanks russell

The condition of the bore internally will dictate whether a rebuild kit will work. It is possible to very lightly hone them.
