I recently purchased a NOS tach for a 83 KZ1100 d model I believe. It has the volt gauge option. My factory tach does not. I installed tach.. Nothing.. All hook ups are the same with the exception of the push volt button which my bike does not have. Does anyone have experience with this tach swap? Do I need button for tach to read rpm? I wouldn't think so but figured I'd ask before sending tach back.
