Ok so the stems look really close. It looks like i could barely get away with using the GSXR stem with new All Balls bearings. The threads run down a little lower giving the bearing less meat to sit on so to speak but when it's all tightened down will it matter?

So basically, will I be safe just buying bearings and running the GSXR triple tree or will I need to go ahead and get the KZ stem mated to the GSXR triple?

No idea what Gsxr model you're using but from the pics it's going to be 1/2" too short. I have a '95 Gsxr750 going on my '76 Kz900 with just a bearing swap but the Zx11 clamps on my '83 Gpz750 needed a stem swap.

Sorry but signatures don't show in the iPad app. I tried a '02 Gsxr600 on my 900. I had the steering stem bore deepened about 1/8" to sink the stem through effectively making it longer. I eventually went with the older forks as the legs and stem were a bit longer and had provisions for a mechanical speedo.
