My Bike : 1982 GPZ750

I really like the way mono shocks look on costume cafe racers, so I'm thinking about converting my bike over to a mono.
BUT before I spend all the money and time buying parts and such. I have questions and Concerns that I want to ask you guys since you dudes are so awesome. So since I have an 1982 gpz750 I though the smartest way to go about this is actually just buying the rear swing arm off of a 1984 gpz750 turbo mono shock.
SO if I do this (here are my concerns and questions)
1. Will that swing arm even fit on the 1982 gpz?
2.Will the switch completely ruin the center line of the bike?
3. Would I have to redo the Front Forks and Tree Clamp to make an even centerline?
4. Would the Drive chain still work because the back tire is bigger so im assuming the chain wouldn't be straight. Would I have to put spacers on the front drive sprocket to make it straight?
5. Has anyone done this conversion before? If so are there vids and pictures of the process?
6. How would I attach the mono shock to the frame?

I know that some of these questions seam stupid to some of you, but I don't believe in a stupid questions
I want to learn and just looking to be pointed in the right direction.
Also just don't say not to do the conversion because its hard. Everything that's worth doing is hard

If you're talking about the bike in your avatar then no none
of that should be done IMHO but thats just me. Go find a beater to cut up.

Early GPz's are KZ750's unitrac GPz are ZX750's two diff. frames but the
unitrack swing arm can be made to bolt in.
To fit the unitrac arm in my KZ650 I trimmed about 1/16 inch off each end
of the bearing sleave and then drilled the frame hole to fit the GPz bolt.
Should be about the same to do yours.
