spoke dilemma
29 Apr 2015 13:26 - 29 Apr 2015 13:27
I have some KZ650 wheels i am refinishing. Trying to be a cheap ass I spent $80 on front and rear spokes from Thailand instead of the $260 for spokes from Buchannan's because the 650 rear spokes have to be made custom. The wheel laced up fine, but some of the inside spokes are not bent enough to seat in the hub correctly, is it possible to bend them more to fit (don't know how i would do that yet) or would this be unsafe? the spoke that fits is on the right, i have 11 of the left ones which don't seem to be bent enough.

Vic,
You can go ahead, but in my experience the difference your showing, once they are in place and you start to torque them for truing, they will most likely conform just fine... Just my .02...
