gear ratio
31 Mar 2015 14:59 - 31 Mar 2015 15:01
hello people: I'm new. I know there's a way to do it and I'm far away to worry about it. But to anyone with a 1000 and running a 630 chain 15 tooth engine and 39 wheel. What RPM are you seeing at 70 MPH?
thanks

hello; What's the redline on a 1000? How about the power band? Is the power nice all thru the RPM? I've ridden a few 1000's and I remeber the power was nice from low to high RPM's

What particular model is it?
81 1000 Ltd : 630 stock chain & sprockets = 15T Fr & 39T Rr.
The speedo indicates that redline is 8500 rpms.
The bike is loaded into the database at GearingCommander --- approx. 4400 rpms @ 70mph.

hello people; My KZ 1000 is a 77A engine in a Santee frame. I've had this project for years. Engine has never been run since I've had it and the frame never painted. I don't remember anything about the engine but it looks cleaned up as with my timing f*** up the head is off and there's no carbon in it at all.
I do have a new 39 rear sprocket and was wondering if any 1000 owners run it.
I tried that ratio site but my puter seems to get stuck there when I do.
