Which rims do i have on?

Hi

My KZ550 is a mix of different KZ's

The frame is a KZ400J '81 and engine is a KZ550A1

But I'm not sure which model the wheels are from.

The front rim says
f-1044
tubeless
J 19XMT1.85 DOT
ENKEI-5
Double disc breaks

The rear rim says
r-1043
tubeless
J 18XMT2.15 DOT
ENKEI-4
It is with break disc



Do anyone know what model it could be from?

They look stock to me.

7 spoke cast mag wheel standard issue for all the 400/500/550 and numerous others of that era.

The US model kz550 had a drum rear, the euro model a disc IIRC.

Looking at the distinctive footpeg triangles and the frame mounted rear master cylinder tabs I'd guess your rims are standard equipment to that bike.

I do rather like the 550's, had about 10 over the years since a teenager.
