Name those forks
04 Feb 2015 16:54 - 04 Feb 2015 16:54
So, I have my 82 CSR 750. I ordered new forks off ebay. They looked to be close enough with the exception that they were set up for dual disks on the front. not necessarily a problem because I eventually want dual disc anyway.
I ran into a couple of problems. One, they are narrower in diameter than original, two, the caliper bracket doesn't fit, and three the axle hole is threaded on one side, and mine wasn't, it just had a nut on it. it's also smaller diameter than my axle.
here are a couple of pictures. Any idea what they are from anyone?

I also got stuck with wrong forks. Sellers use multiple tag words. Like Kz. Car. Z1r etc.
Kz can mean a 200 400 650 and on. All have different tube diameter.
I needed 36 mm and got some 33mm.
Let me know what diameter you need maybe the ones I have is what you need.

My guess 75-79 honda goldwing forks. Your fork tubes should be 38mm, goldwing forks are 37mm

Actually my forks are 36mm and I think the ones I got were 35. they were just a tiny bit too narrow to get fully tight. That's not really a problem though, easily solvable. I just need to figure out where they came from so I can make them work.

The Seller said they came from an 82 750 LTD. which I believe had 36mm forks as well. So either the seller is mistaken, or just a complete liar.

The 750-4 Ltd brake caliper bolt-hole center-to-center measurement is 72mm & the forks are 36mm.

File a not as described claim, get your money back, give a mark against him and buy the ones you want. You now have 180 days to do it. They hope you will just go away. That's why they do it and most will. GIVE IT TO EM!.

When did the return policy change from 14 days to 180?
