Delkovic exhaust

Hey All...was considering the possibility of replacing my V&H header with a stainless Delkovic system...went to their site, & nothing listed for kz650's! I can certainly contact the company, but was wondering if anyone knows of a listed application from them that would bolt up to my 78 650 B2A...I know the later ninjas are water cooled & have different carb spacing, but thought someone here might have already dealt with this...As always, any feedback is appreciated!

Do they have anything for the ZR750 air-cooled models?

The 2000-03 ZR-7 & ZR-7S mufflers & probably a 90s Zephyr 750 system will fit the KZ650. .
Here's Andy-the-Gringos bike w ZR-7 exhaust. I think the ZR-7S is the same.

Had another look at their site... www.delkevic.us/ no love...odd how some models listed don't even offer the header section....mufflers only...Martin, am I understanding you correctly in that Gringo's bike (Totally love the fire airbrushing, BTW!) has a FACTORY ZR7 exhaust on it? Fabbing a simple hanger bracket wouldn't be a problem, if that is the case...Gonna hafta look at fleabay!

Yes, that's a stock ZR-7 exhaust system fitted to his 77 650 w fabbed muffler bracket.
I don't recall the exact year, but the mufflers are from around 2000-02.
The ZR750 air-cooled models are based on the KZ750 which in turn is based on the 650.

I'm pretty sure you can fit any 650/KZ700/750/ZN700/ZR750 air-cooled exhaust system to your bike. You'd have to fab muffler brackets & center stand clearance might be an issue w a 4-2 system.

Note: there are some water-cooled ZR750 models w radiator, but those mufflers won't work (pretty sure). The ones I've seen have an angled engine, so the exhaust headers are angled --- the models are easily identified by the angled carburetors.

The ZR750s had a center stand & either a 4-1 or 4-2 system, so hopefully it wouldn't be an issue on the 650.

The fitment problem arises in regards to the left side muffler, as the center stand can bang against it.
The 750-4s have a recess in the Left muffler to allow center stand clearance.
The 70s type 650s don't have the recess, so clearance may not be an issue when going w a non-stock 4-2 system. ???

I would call them. They were very candid that their online catalog suffers from being incomplete. If they makes full system, they probable offer a header only system.

Good for you. Rain here. Had to use the 69 Ford to go into town. That's OK, I need a tire on Bossie anyway. Use your cam and let us hear it scream.
