Front brake master cylinder piston stop

Anybody have tips on how to remove the piston stop? It's stumping me. Also, might have to look for an aftermarket alternative, this looks pretty beat.

Suggestions?

Thanks

i have a pair of those, but its not an internal snap ring. its a thick "c' shaped tab. It doesn't have any holes in it.

part 11 labled as piston stop

Never mind, it was just rusted as hell. tapped on it lightly all over with a small drive punch and it loosened up.

thanks for the links!
