so i just finished my 81 kz750 cafe. the bike started as a 78'650 with a 81' 750e engine and some donor parts. i later bought the correct 81 frame and had everything powder coated. the plan was to run the mag wheels from the 750. while ressembling the bike i realized the front mag wouldnt fit becuase i had assembled the bike with the freshly coated 650 triples. :pinch: at the momment i have been running with 650 spoke in the front and the rear mag. is there any other way to get the front mag to fit? maybe swapping the front axles or something? im not sure if i tried that or not. also are there any major differences between the 78' 650 forks and say a set of 81' 750e\h? i mean i can't say that i HATE the front spoke. it's different, i think im on to a new look for these bikes.hahaha.
thanks
Eric

I haven't done it but you should be able to just swap the fork lowers. As in install the 750 fork lowers on the 650 fork tubes. I do know they're both 36mm diameter fork tubes.

Eric... So, you need a 750 triple tree? Is this an option you'd think of going to, so you have the proper spacing at the axel? ...if I understand your problem correctly. My 80' 750 is a parts bike and I still have the tree... PM if this is an option for ya.
