difference between Z1 900 rear wheel & H2?

is the any difference betewwn a Z1 900 Rear wheel and an H2? the only thing I can see is the H2 Brake backing plate does not have a wear indicator boss... any one know of any other differences?

However, if the only difference is the wear indicator, they won't show as being the same part, and will have different part numbers.

No operating difference. You can use it. It is cleaner looking!
And it ads $$ to it if you sell it on ebay! The early Z1 used it! not painted black, like the H2. I wish I had one again!
Can be used for a Z1 restoration or a H2 application if painted black.
Plus the bolt holding the cam lever was backwards on Z1's.
If you can get one, take it!

was there any noticeable difference in the early Z1 900 Rear hub, as I bought a parts lot from a guy with alot of early Z1 parts, I was windering if the early Z1 900 (72 built ones used this brake, as it is the same as my 72 H2 brake, thats why I asked the question, in the parts lot was a regisration for Z1F-00047 so I am assuming this brake came off it, I also have a head with the syncing holes in the head instead of in the manifolds, and a set of ribless carbs.

Lucky you! Oinkjohnson's ebay shill Gang sold ribless carbs for $1800 1 1/2 years ago. I sold an early head with the nipples in the head , first VIN's# 2,200 for $430 to Austaralia. Good money items if your selling! Early carbs sucked! 2nd version sucked a little less, 3rd version a little more less! Only people wanting original restoration want the stuff.

Back to the rear wheel. No, there is no difference. Except for the date code on the rim. Early 72-73 date codes are coveted.
If they are clean, and don't need a re-chrome.

they are laced to campagnolo ( akront style) Aluminum rims unfortunately.
