Stainless Steel Barke LInes ( F ) ?
18 Jun 2014 09:49
Do they make F/R stainless brake lines for the 77' KZ1000? Like to get rid of the hard line going to the front caliper.

Im changing to later B model calipers so the stainless wrapped hoses go all the way to the calipers from the splitter alleviating the tubes and inline connections.

I'm assuming to do this, one would need to rotate the fork tubes from the left to the right and right to left to get the caliper mounts facing the rear? Then look for a left hand side rear mount caliper?

I'm not sure, but I think you can get adapters to fit your calipers and eliminate the hardlines, so you wont have to buy different calipers , ..maybe some one that's done it will chime in & save you some money

I'd ask at the many brake line manufacturers, also if there's a Hydraulic brake line builder in your town/city, see if they can make one for you:

when flipping the forks and adding another caliper all the hardware has to be correct as that it wont get into the rotors

specific mounting bolts are used for the calipers on different years and models. some are longer than others, soo be sure you check all mounting bolt clearances before hitting the trail
