Fork jamming

Hi all,

I replaced my fork seals on my kz250. One went well - the other fork can jam when pushed down perhaps 2/3 of it's travel.

The inner tube isn't bent in any way (checked against a straight edge) and there's no cracking or visible damage on the outer tube either. I was thinking of taking off the drain bolt again and try rotating the damper rod, as maybe it is slightly off straight? It wasn't jamming before the relacement, and all I've done is change the oil and replace the seals.

Any ideas? Or am I up for some new forks?
